Inter secures 2-0 victory over Lecce in Serie A home opener

Inter Milan secured their first win of the season in Serie A with a 2-0 victory over Lecce at home. Matteo Darmian and Hakan Calhanoglu scored the goals for Simone Inzaghi's side, sealing the victory for the Champions.

Darmian gave Inter the lead inside five minutes after the ball bounced in front of the defender who placed it inside the far corner with a towering header.

Calhanoglu doubled the advantage for the hosts from the spot in the 69th minute, after Inter were awarded a penalty for Kialonda Gaspar's foul on Marcus Thuram.

Inter, who were held to a 2-2 draw at Genoa last weekend, have provisionally moved top of the table with four points.
