Paul Pogba responded to Wayne Rooney's allegations by firmly denying that he danced in the Manchester United dressing room after losing matches.

Pogba has been left angry after club legend Rooney insisted that the French midfielder – along with former teammate Jesse Lingard – danced after defeats.

Rooney’s views on Pogba and Lingard’s alleged inappropriate dancing were recently revealed by another former United player, Rio Ferdinand, on a podcast.

Pogba, who played for United from 2009 to 2012 and then 2016 to 2022, has decided to respond directly to Rooney and told : ‘I want to clarify.

‘I heard Wayne Rooney say that we lost a game and me and Jesse were dancing in the changing room.

‘You always need a witness, OK? If someone can confirm what Rooney said, I will accept it.

‘If there is not, it is not true. Lingard never confirmed that because I am a very bad loser and I respect the club.

‘Wayne Rooney, a legend of the club, sitting there and not saying anything. Do you think that matches?’

Ferdinand once rang Rooney to complain about Pogba and Lingard ‘dancing on Instagram’ while the team were struggling.

‘I rang Wazza (Wayne Rooney) when I saw Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard dancing on Instagram when we were sixth in the league,’ Ferdinand said this month.

‘I rang Wazza and said, “What’s going on here? How are you allowing this?” And he said you can’t say nothing man, it’s not the same anymore.

‘He said it’s not just those two, there would be a big group looking at me like I’m mad if I said anything.’

Meanwhile, Pogba insists he has no hard feelings towards Jose Mourinho following their turbulent relationship together at Old Trafford.
